God’s love surrounds us today with the same intensity as it did on that very first day of Creation.
How aware am I that I live because God’s continuing love upholds me? Not very. I take a lot of things for granted.
Loving and gracious God, thank you for the goodness that surrounds us. Open my eyes to contemplate all that you have made for us to enjoy. God, Creator of all that is, help me be a person who reflects your goodness to others, especially to those who are most in need of a sign of your love and kindness. Open my eyes to the depths of your love for me, even as I am afraid of periods of testing and trial. Lead me gently to righteousness.
