July 1
Jesus, my Brother, thank you for encouraging me to bring my needs to you. Help me to be open to your transforming presence in my life. Though I am weak, Your strength is made perfect in my weaknesses. Continue to lead me in Your righteousness. Continue to inspire my mind to think and teach, to inspire my heart to grow in the capacity of care and love. Continue to provide for my needs, to remind me that I do not need to go chasing after these things, but I can rest assured that Your timing is perfect, that what You give is good.
His family has room for all who do the will of God. Listening to God and acting on what we hear makes us not just friends of Jesus, but family. Not all members of a family see eye to eye on everything, but they all share a common bond. In Jesus’ family, the common bond is God. When our focus is on doing the will of God, we know that we are walking in the right direction.
We seek out God’s will for ourselves when we are walking in step with the Church. This family is large and diverse, indicating that there is a myriad of ways for us to follow Him.
